Norway & Alberta Celebrate 100 Years
Centennial Celebration - April 16, 2005

Solglyt Lodge #143 Sons of Norway are having a celebration to mark Norway's 100 years of independance from Sweden and Alberta's 100 years as a province in Canada

at the Dutch Canadian Centre
13312 - 142 Street, Edmonton, Alberta
on Saturday, April 16, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to midnight.

During the day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a market will run with various Norwegian and Alberta items (antiques, art work, crafts & food) for sale and entertainment (dancers, accordian music) in the main hall.
Displays, genealolgy search and demonstrations of Norwegian crafts will take place in an adjoining room.
Norwegian Culture From 10:00 am til 4:00 pm
You can look at displays, watch demonstrations, try out new food, shop the market, trace your roots and catch some great entertainment on stage!

    Meet Hodda and Gubben

A celebration dinner will commence at 6:00 p.m.

with cocktails, dinner to follow at 7:00 p.m.

and a dance at 9:00 p.m. to the band of Henry Undheim.

Canadian actor, Dwayne Brenna a.k.a.

Eddie Gustafson will entertain with

a Norwegian comedy routine following the dinner.

Throughout the day there will be draws, a 50/50, fun & surprises. Tickets to the dinner and dance must be purchased in advance
