Trollhaugen camp is an annual weeklong family camp that is held at Deer Valley Meadows Camp that is situated near Alix, Alberta. It is a beautiful camp site with the Red Deer river flowing through the valley nearby. There are campsites available, individual cabins and dormitory type facilities. Meals are held in a major dining room/activity building in the center of the camp.

The camp is sold out early each year as there is room for around 100 campers in addition to the approximately 50 volunteers and cultural instructors. Traditional skills and culture crafts are taught, such as chip carving, rosemaling, folk dancing, ethnic cooking, language, songs and woodworking. Many campers return each year for a ‘taste of Norway’ in a cultural immersion outdoor setting.
